A Tough Loss

The Eagles touchdown run, which Jack almost prevented.



The Eagles were good, but this game was closer than the score would reflect. A couple of calls that went against the Dolphins, and a couple of missed tackles were the only difference between a loss and what could have been a victory.

Credit should go to the Eagles, but Coach Tony's wishbone offense delivered excellent results and as the game progressed the execution improved.

Next week should be even better.

Hike, Pass, Catch, Run...do it again

The Dolphins practiced for Saturday's game. I can't divulge what plays they practiced (I don't want to help the opposition). Let's just say lots of basics were covered.

Message from the coach

I would like to have a practice Wednesday evening @ the Fair Haven fields @ 6pm for an hour, just to get the kids together. We can meet by the concession stand and go to the same location we practiced the last time.

Thanks and hope to see everyone there.

Please remember practices are not mandatory.

Those Raiders are tough

Well, the Dolphins took on the Raiders today and those Raiders were tough. Although the Raiders scored a few times, the Dolphins had some nice goal line stands that prevented the score from getting higher. Next time the dolphins will put up more points.

The Dolphins are now 1-1.

Coach Tony is hoping to put a practice together on Wednesday at 6 pm. Details to come.

Dolphins play first game

The Rumson (and Fair Haven) Dolphins played their first flag football game today, and they went on to beat the Lions 12-0 on two end runs. Some terrific plays were made.

Kudos to the coaches for getting the kids ready and ensuring everyone had a good time. Every kid got to play different positions.

The coach says there will be no practice this week, but there will be another game next Saturday at 9 am.
